Grammy Goodness

Can you tell we had a good time at my mom's? We were there for a little over three days while Paul had a conference in Nashville. We saw some of my cousins... my cousin Tom came over with raspberries for the kids (a hot commodity), and played for an afternoon. The kids ate him up! Another cousin, Chrissy, let Ella sit on one of her horses and we helped brush them. She's going to slowly give her lessons. Awesome!

We helped Grammy plant her garden (at least, a small portion of her immense garden!) with beans and peas. My Aunt Mary invited us over for dinner, and my Uncle Ron and Aunt Kiddo were there, too. The next night my Uncle Cliff stopped by with more berries for the kids (how do they know??) and some swinging fun. Family like this is just precious. They love you no matter what, all the time.

I slept about ten hours every night, finished a book and just enjoyed being so well cared for. Thanks, Mom. What a Mother's Day treat!

(Side note: the berries are a bit of a joke in my family. I buy raspberries and give them out sparingly, as they are so expensive! My Uncle Cliff and his kids, Tom and Jill, think I am crazy and always make sure to have berries on hand with no limit as to how many the kids can eat! So I am thinking I should start withholding other things like bikes and toys and see if they step up. (o:  Ha!)
