Family fun was the name of the game at our fourth annual visit to the Noe (Katie Skultey's family) cabin near Webster, WI. We started out with some chilly weather, but the kids were troopers and just really enjoyed each other. Tim and Katie have Ben, 2, and Anna, ~ 6 mos.

Paul and Tim were able to take the girls fishing (they both caught some bluegills!) and later in the day brought Owen and Ben out in the boat to try their luck, too.

So cute! The kids played "Ring Around the Rosy" while waiting for a grown-up to come out on the dock. They played together like family, only really kind family! (o: Very little bickering, which was incredible!

I had to bribe the kids with fruit snacks (not my proudest moment) to stop for a picture. This one may make the cut as one we send out to family, as we are hopelessly bad at that (the last one was when Owen was 6 months). It's not perfect, but it just might do!

Ben was all decked out and ready for some splashing fun! Saturday warmed up enough to get the kids in the sand and water, but it was chilly. We decided to bathe them in the lake, and every kid screamed bloody murder. It put a little hair on their chests! (I felt awful...)

The boys got a bunch of fishing in, and Katie and I took some walks and got in a lovely canoe trip on Sunday, the warmest and loveliest day of the trip. It was in the 80s. This lake is called Big Sand Lake, and it's where Katie's family grew up every summer; first at a little cabin in a resort, then at their own cabin. It's fun to hear stories and the history of this place. We saw and heard many loons. This canoe trip brought an attack of horseflies on my foot, which ended up swelling up for about four days. That wasn't my favorite memory...

This is darling Anna. What a honey! She was showered with attention from the girls, who hovered over her every move. It was adorable and fun for all.

Paul's huge line after a night of fishing. They ended up catching 59 bluegills, 1 crappie and 3 bass over the weekend.

Uncle Tim and Ella getting ready for a boat trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed this long weekend with one of our favorite families, and appreciate how easy it was to spend time together. The food and treats were always plentiful, as was time for chatting and reading. Since we don't live terribly close, this weekend is one we all look forward to so we can catch up and have fun! Thanks for everything!
