Carmella is 5!!

I don't know how it's possible, but on the 4th of this month, our dear Ella turned five. Five! That's half a decade! When I think about when she was born until now, I am in awe of all she has learned. Physically she can climb just about anything and do crazy jumps. She's a fast runner and biker, and can throw and kick with the best of them. She can write her name, as well as lots of other words.

Emotionally, she has come leaps and bounds in terms of expressing herself and her needs. She's such a protective and sweet little mother hen to Nonie and Bobo, and is extremely sensitive to their needs. She has the biggest heart. She's also finding out that she can and will break rules, though! Grr. That comes with being a kid! Happy Birthday, dear one. We love you more than chocolate and ice cream combined. (o:

We had a little fiesta on Halloween, and many were in costumes for the event.

Painting pumpkins was the craft of choice. They turned out great --
thanks to all the grown-ups who helped!

At school, Carmella wore the birthday crown and cape. She thought that was pretty special. My sister and Auntie Erica came over for cake and ice cream after dinner,
and we had fun being together. A great birthday!
