Papermaking with Auntie

My awesome artist of a sister had us over to show the kids how to make paper. It was so cool! They collected dry organic matter from the yard to add to the pulp, then helped her blend it. We added a little orange essence to make it smell lovely, which it did. Andrea had her backyard set up with tables of the screens, cut-outs, etc. so we were ready to roll. I can't believe how much patience she had with each of them, and found ways for everyone to help in their own way. Thank you for everything, Auntie! The paper is so beautiful.




This is Ella's paper... a full sheet, then a penguin and two teddy bears.
Nonie's sheets... a teddy bear, a heart and a gingerbread boy.
Owen made a circle, a butterfly and a seal. (That's the one that looks like a blob!) (o:
