The Blizzard of 2010!!!

Woke up Saturday morning to this...

...so dear Paul (and kids) went out to begin the HUGE task of shoveling. (The kids did just a teeny weeny bit of shoveling, if we're being honest. Mostly plodding and trying not to get stuck!)

All total, between 18-24 inches fell from Friday night 'til mid-day Saturday. This will be the storm we refer to later in life as the "Blizzard of 2010!"

Quite a perfect day for baking Christmas cookies, snuggling up by the fire, playing games and popping popcorn.

Look at the snow from the kitchen window. A little unbelievable! But beautiful. I rather enjoy being homebound for a few days. We had plenty to eat and do, and all were safe, snug and warm. Many blessings to count and be thankful for!

(Oh, and if you're not from the Midwest, you should Google the roof collapse of the Metrodome. Fascinating footage.)
