Holiday Arts Party

Nonie's preschool did the neatest holiday celebration to culminate the year! Both classrooms were filled with tables of nifty crafts that represented both Hanukkah and Christmas, which were the holidays they learned about this month. Then we just had at it! Everyone was welcome and encouraged to explore and get messy. (o: We sure did.



After about an hour of creating, we gathered in the "Big Room" to have cookies (made by the kids) and juice, and watched a little singing program. It was wonderful and more than one tear was in my eye. Every year the kids sing this darling song that is something like ..."even though I am still a little child, I can turn a frown into a smile." The song's message is that giving love and hugs is much better than any other present. 'Tis true.

Nonie was just a little doll in this performance; the one bummer for her was that Owen snuck in and joined the performance with all the kids. He's just prepping himself for next year... (o:
