And what a lovely Christmas Eve it was. We spent the day at our house with my mom (who recently had hip surgery and was doing really well!), my sister, her husband and Shaquiel, the sweet teenager they mentor. Oh the food! Oh the games! Oh the gifts! (There were too many of those in my opinion, but the kids sure had fun.) Thanks to all for the good times and cherished memories, and thanks be to God for His son, Jesus Christ, for whom we truly celebrate this season.
(I just love this one... she's writing a thank-you letter to Santa:
"Thank you for the gifts. I hope you're not too cold out there! Love, Ella.")
