Halleluia! The kids and I came home from a little trip to Eau Claire, WI to see some family and friends (more to come on that), and here was the carpet!! We couldn't be happier, esp. since this heat wave is going nowhere and the A/C is only in the bedrooms. Wahoo!

This is the tile Paul laid most recently... he's building a countertop bar for playing cards, etc. It will have a cool copper top when all's said and done.

Can you tell the kids made themselves at home? A huge mess in less than 20 minutes. Ahh, now we don't have to clean it up all the time.

The carpeted stairs... my one request. I am a little clumsy (okay, maybe more than a little) and really didn't want hardwood steps while hauling the laundry baskets up and down.

The awesome completed built-in shelf Paul built... will house the electronics, as well as misc. games, etc.

We got that darn TV up (it was hard labor!) and Paul was able to enjoy a little face time with his man-cave. He's watching Cooper Anderson tell us about Michael Jackson... poor guy. If I could
moon walk for a little tribute, I would. Sadly, all I can contribute is
the worm. (o:
