Grand Old Day

Grand Old Day is a time-honored St. Paul tradition, and one that we have attended since we've moved back to the Midwest. It's full of loud bands, brightly decorated cars and floats and did I mention candy? Man, there was a bunch of candy this year. And the girls loved opening up their palms and being given piece after lovely piece. (Notice I said given, not eating...) Anyway, a great time was had by all despite the fall-like weather. We met up with friends Mike, Jessica & Pete and their daughter, Riley. Stopped by the Family Fun Zone, which was teeming with kids and strollers. Blech! After my failed attempt to get mini donuts, we headed home for a quick nap, then off to the Walter's for their annual Grand Old Day BBQ. Again, much fun was had, and we left their driveway covered in corpses (okay, just their outlines...). The last photo is our family, Ella-style. Love it! Thanks for the fun, everyone!
