Well, it's Christmas Eve and all the monkeys are napping. My mom came yesterday afternoon to beat the impending blizzard, and she's snuggled up in front of the fire "reading" (aka snoozing). Paul's finished the shoveling from last night's snow (a good six inches) and is lounging on the couch. The fridge is stocked and the gifts are wrapped. It's a lovely Christmas Eve. No rushing, no last minute shopping. Just relaxing.
This morning Paul and I took the girls sledding at the Como golf course, which has awesome hills. It was thrilling! We gave Nonie an early Christmas gift of a saucer, and we all took turns catapulting down the hill. It's pretty steep, so Paul and I did our best carrying and pulling the kids up each time. What a workout. We feel lucky to live here and enjoy this weather.
Merry Christmas everyone, and safe travels.
For those we won't see, know you're in our hearts and prayers.
