Getting ready for Valentine's Day has never been so sweet! We've been having some great playdates lately -- this first one was with Marcie and Drake, and we decorated some heart cookies. Everyone did a beautiful and tasty job. Their mom, Erin, and I have been close friends for almost as long as I can remember... it was fun to talk about what we were like as little girls with our own little girls. "Do you remember when your skin turned orange from all those carrots, Erin?" (o: The kids couldn't believe it, either.
Here's our friend, Shea-Shea, performing astounding feats on the trampoline! He, his brother and his mom came over for dinner one night. It was the best of both worlds: food, wine and chatting for parents and crazy running around for the kids. They all slept well that night!
On Tuesdays our friend Willa (who is 2) is here for the morning, and this week we were well into Valentine creating. Willa was "writing" everyone's names on her picture. Norah kept saying. "She's not really writing them, is she Mama?" I think there's a little competitor in Nonie... I wonder where she gets that? (Read: Paul, Carmella, Paul's mom, Paul's sister, Paul's brothers...) (o:
P.S... Thanks for all the prayers for my sister-in-law's father, Denny. He had surgery last week and is home awaiting the lab results. He did great and is feeling thankful. The power of prayer is miraculous! Keep 'em coming!
