Dragon Dance

The theme this week at Carmella's preschool was the Chinese New Year (the year of the tiger), and it culminated with a creative dragon dance. The kids each made one of the dragon scales, then proudly held up their part of the body for the dragon chant and dance. It was very weel-organized chaos! Ella gave Owen her Tiger mask so he could join in, too. The children all learned a few Chinese phrases, too... hello, happy new year, I love you and goodbye. Please don't ask me to remember them, or worse, try to type them! It was sweet.

(Ella's the one in the pink sweater.)

This is a shot from the day before at the Children's Museum. I just love it and had to include it!

*** Please say some prayers for my sister-in-law's dad, Denny. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and needs prayers to get through this. Thank you. ***
