The weather is finally cooperating, and we're taking advantage of the short,
yet sublime summer days.
When I have some gardening to do (let's be honest -- it's always weeding), the kids don their gloves and dig in to help. Okay, they're mostly looking for worms, but a few weeds get pulled during their hunt. I'll take the help when I can!
Our neighbor pulled out the good ol' slip-n-slide, and a ho-hum hot afternoon became the stuff of neighborhood legends! This was our first experience with it, and the kids were climbing on each other for turns. Denise and I ended up giving the munchkins the old heave-ho down the slide so they wouldn't get hurt running. We both were soaked by the end, too, and it felt awesome.
