Father's Day Follies

Every year we've attended the Dan Huss Memorial Golf Tournament (in honor of Paul's friend Brian's dad), and it always falls on Father's Day weekend. While I am sad not to see my dad during this weekend (we'll celebrate in a few days!), we always have such a nice time. Paul golfs in the a.m. with his cronies, then the kids and I meet him at the picnic afterwards. There are plenty of kids, a great swingset, good food & treats and lots of camaraderie for all. After that, there's a poker tourney, too... what could be a better beginning to Father's Day for Paul?

Owen became Paul's good luck charm during the poker game, and he took second!

The kids all played hard and enjoyed being outside with friends.

On Father's Day proper, we started with some donuts for breakfast (@ Paul's request). Then he opened some gifts and we headed outside for some playtime together.

After naps, we loaded up the bikes and took a leisurely ride to the nearby Como Park for a picnic dinner and some soccer fun. We had such a great day, and couldn't be happier to have all this time with Paul. Happy Father's Day to one awesome daddy!

We love you!
