Summer in St. Paul is wonderful! We took the kids to the St. Anthony Park Arts Festival (I forgot my camera!), and they each threw their own pots, pet some exotic animals and enjoyed spending some time with Auntie, who joined us.
The next day, Paul took the kids to the Grand Old Day parade. They came home with stories of ballerinas and bags full of candy, from which we are still doling out bits now and again. Those parade marchers were generous! After that, our college friends hosted their annual BBQ, and we marveled at how our fun has changed now that we all have little ones. Here some of them are playing, "What time is it, Mr. Fox?"
The next week brought an impromptu playdate with some of our music class friends... we even ran into some of Ella's classmates from preschool! We were there for the whole morning, brought a nice picnic, and we parents relished the behavior and contentment of our kids. We gotta do this again!

I know a sweet, fun little boy who is almost exactly Owen's age. Pack up your stuff and we can play all the time!
