Our neighborhood block party was Tuesday, August 4th (National Night Out), and we had a blast! We have some really nice neighbors, and the kids loved racing around on the blocked off street. A fire truck came for the kids to check out...
A police car with his K-9 unit also made an appearance. It was interesting to learn about how those dogs are trained, what they cost and about their temperment. The kids enjoyed petting "Vinny."
Time for some goodies! We all brought food to share, and the party organizer pulled out her grill and cooked up the meat. The oldest neighbors on the block has some stories to share about our house's previous owners. They had 5 girls and 1 boy in this house; the husband built the second level himself! Pretty cool. We had a great time and look forward to it again next year!
