An Oasis in This Tundra

At Paul's suggestion, I took the kids to the Como Zoo's Conservatory this morning, and it was a hit! It was balmy and tropical, and we were able to run around and discover an exploration room for kids. We found a tree that helps make toothpaste, another that gets Nonie the chocolate for her milk, loads of orchids and even a pond full of Koi. Way to go, Daddy! And if I hadn't attempted to stop in the gift shop for a couple of gifts (you'll thank me later, Cyndi!), it would have been the perfect morning. Too bad they don't open 'til 10... we'd be there around 7:30. Oh well!
