Nonie Bear is 3!

Just look at that girl! I can't believe Norah is already three. And yet, I sure can. She's ready to test those wings she's sprouting. She's getting fearless (at home, at least) and confident!

Norah is her own special soul... she goes along with Ella often, but knows what she wants and has her own ideas. She's getting particular about clothing (only certain socks, please, and the shirt with the kitty, thank you very much). She'll wear as many layers as she can, as long as they're pretty and sparkly. She'll try to talk you into anything, and isn't above using "victim" strategies to coerce. Thankfully she is still as honest as ever, or we'd be in trouble! 

She loves Ella fiercely... they now try to sleep together in her bed every night. When I attempt to separate them, I get, "But she's my Ella. I love her. I need her in here." Aw, shucks! Norah is learning about how to be a good big sister to Owen, too. It's a tough role for her b/c Ella usually steps in, but on the occasion that Ella's gone, Nonie's the one who shows Owen how to play cars or magnet people or whatever. It's good for them, as Ella will start preschool in the fall and they will be "stuck" together. 

We're so glad you were born today, Nonie! You have lots of strong Irish spirit in honor of your birthday.
